Hello readers!
I’d like to welcome you to my newsletter. It’s still me, still the scoop, still covering topics pertaining to literature, lifestyle, and life’s little pleasures.
It’s sort of like I just got a new owl to deliver my messages for me (what can I say, there’s been a lot of Harry Potter reading/watching/listening going on in these parts lately).
In an effort to streamline (and maybe actually stick with this!) I’m going to try a slightly more systematic format here though.
Here’s what each volume of the scoop should include:
Lit Links (anything bookish/related to writing worth sharing)
Life Links (other fun links— think food, drink, humor, music, movies/shows, etc.)
Sometimes these links will be written by me, but more often than not, they will probably be ones I find and deem worthy of sharing. :) And finally, if and when I have any interesting writing updates/news, I’ll include those as well.
I hope your family is healthy and thriving as much as possible in this strange current time we’re living in. I’ve written a bit about our own experiences lately, which I’ll link to below.
So here it is— this volume’s official scoop starts here:
📖 Lit Links:
my 2020 writing update featuring my Camp NaNoWriMo win and thoughts on writing during quarantine
SCBWI released their amazing Vault (aka 40 years of video and audio resources for writing for children) on YouTube to the public
@kelseylovesbooks is doing a BOTM readathon this weekend in case your subscription has resulted in a stack of unread books (it’s not too late to join in!)
🍞 Life Links:
my final post on the Art of Simple where I muse about finding our family’s essentials while stuck at home
my ultimate guide to sourdough in case you are jumping on the quarantine bandwagon (which I highly recommend doing, because YUM)
@bookstaandbujo’s #ListMakerChallenge in case you suddenly have very few scheduled items to write in your Bullet Journal, but you still want to use it
Zoey’s Extraordinary playlist was the best show I’ve watched in a while and I can’t remember the last time I cried so much but also felt so filled with joy while watching
Happy Friday!
xo,
nicole ✨
P.S. One of the ways this platform is fun is it brings likes and comments to the newsletter format. Feel free to chime in with your own lit and life links or let me know if you are loving any of the same things as me.
